Description

The Fun Stuff:

Get ready to welcome a new member to the family when your maker comes home with their very own quadruped robotic creation. We're combining 3d printed parts with electronic components and coding to make a robot simulate a four-legged creature. Makers will learn to create programs for autonomous movements as well as build and code their own RC controller. Program your quad pet to react to noise, sound, avoid obstacles and race around a track.

The Nitty Gritty Details:

  • Explore mechanical engineering and design
  • Understand the role and functions of inputs, outputs/actuators, and processors
  • Explore preprogrammed versus autonomous robots
  • Learn the basics of the Arduino language and programming in the integrated development environment (IDE)
  • Understand and learn to create loops, conditionals, and functions
